If your aim is to demoralize and degrade me,
If your goal is to trample me into the mud,
Go ahead and give it your best shot.
I still am able to rise above you.

If your words are cruel and bitter,
If your blows are painful and bloody,
Go ahead and give it your best shot.
I still can and will rise above you.

Do what you will as your feeble attempts amuse me.
I have learned that as long as I do not retaliate in kind,
I will always, always, rise above you.
