My Nine Grandsons

Nine grandsons given to me by their parents
All of them are oh so transparent
They love unconditionally just as they were taught
So they give their hearts without much thought.

Each grandson is special in his own way
But to hear them tell it each is my favorite every day
Surrounded by love from such great young men
Often leads me to pray and frequent Amens.

I love those young men with all my heart
With thanks and love I am glad that we are seldom apart
Raised from babies to full grown men
Some lucky women their hearts they will win

So thank you grandson for the times we’ve shared
Especially those times when your souls you bared
All about your feelings and emotions so strong
I knew we had to stop and pray that things would not go wrong.

Nine grandsons who mean the world to me
Are growing up just nicely as anyone can see
Still loving unconditionally just as they were taught
With none of them being up for sale, purchased or bought!
