A poem I wrote in a cafe while at University of Minnesota. |
| The Barrier...Time At last, the meeting now adjourned A shimmer in a glancing eye The prickly flame inside me churned But the barrier... time, between us lies. A chance encounter with radiant sun A hopeful and courageous try To be so lucky... A distant one But the barrier... time between us lies. Now conversation bright and brisk With thoughts welding in our minds We chanced the universal risk And the barrier...time between us lies. A honeyed merging in twilight implanting visions with easy grace Of futures lit in candle light And the barrier... time between us lies. ervalle, 1975 |
