A poem remembering the love of my life. My first ever poem

  Incredible you:

 
  Under a wide brimmed hat

  I first saw your face

  You smiled softly at me 

  I felt your sweet grace

  The beauty I found

  both outside and in

  Told me I just had

  to see you again

  And from that magic first moment

  I surely knew

  I had to promise myself

  to be ever so true

  To have forever your heart

  through devotion and love

  united for eternity

  much the same as the dove

  your hand in mine

  we shared all our life

  I love you and thank you

  for being my wife

  When I am gone 

  replay memories of me

  I will be awaiting you

  there in eternity

  Enjoying life

  without remorse in the end

  Our undying love

  with each other as friends

  For so many years

  we followed our dreams

  We shared failed plans

  and haphazard schemes

  Traveling through life

  and facing the unknown

  The youths inside us

  now matured and grown

  I know that today

  what I perceived back then

  To do it all over

  I would pick you again
