Grateful

This poem refers to myself and how I truly feel inside

I wake up every morning
and put a smile upon my face
When looking in the mirror
I know I've made mistakes
But i tell myself ''I'm beautiful''
and that'll never change
Cause even with a bad name
Ill always feel this way
People are going to talk
even say what they think
But they're just making me famous
whenever they speak
Convincing myself is all I need
cause listening to others could ruin me
I am who I am
And who i wanna be
by staying true to myself
Others will have no choice, than to accept me for me
I choose to stay positive
and keep my head held high
With every negative commen i hear
Ill just shake my head and sigh
I love me & myself too much
to let words break me down
Even if, by chance, that happens
youll never see me frown
The best of me i keep inside
Only the chosen ones will ever see
that does'nt speak for very many
But the only one that can choose is ME
