poem for spring |
Dark nights shorten and daylight long And the maiden of spring dances into our song Chickens hatch and snowdrops bloom And the mother of all grows in belly and moon Dancing winds shift the winter ways. Delight and wonder in the colourful maze. Songbirds chatter and speak of the light And Jack Frosts chill still felt in the night Free from the darkness the autumn brings Lightness beckons here comes the Spring The small creatures awaken to the brighter days now bring on the beauty of the summer haze. |
