What is writing

First item in my portfolio - some random lines to get me off the mark

What to write?

How scary is the blank page, and who'll be interested in my musings if I do fill it with my thoughts?

Do I pour out my all my deep, dark secrets, or should I try to gain my reader's interest by making myself so irresistibly interesting?

Should I write poetry or prose, fiction or fantasy, or even (whisper) erotica?

Is it my secret dream to become a famous author, write a blockbuster or maybe a song for ADELE? (She should be so lucky!).

Perhaps I'll be a travel writer and someone will pay me to go to the most exotic locations, pandering to my every whim whilst they tremble in fear of my judgement.

OR ... Maybe a food writer, I could become a TV star - wined and dined by all!

Perhaps I'll write fantasy or fiction. It looks like I have a natural aptitude for it.

Or maybe I'll just write for fun, for the challenge and excitement, the creativity, inspiration, frustration and release.

OR for the sheer joy of it all!
