A poem about conflicts surrounding the christian's marriage vows |
| Happily together till death do us part This is a promise made at the start Oh wonderful and lovely is the chant This is our desire tis what we crave tis what we want Yes we spoke as though we seriously contemplated Or were we blindly following love as society dictated were we like a shaft that the wind driveth away Or floating down a river of divine wine without delay Being equally yolked satisfied an important criteria Yet that alone could not withstand the grueling test of time Inertia of mind from deep interior Sparks new plans and dreams once rife with decline Thoughts of what aught to have been is oft rewind In the perfect and dynamic evolving mind. |
