Winter Poem about relaxing in natural surroundings |
| Llangefni Reservoir The icy waters still to a silent film, Crunching footsteps echo in muffled undergrowth Mango mountain slopes warm the grey horizon With beams of life; melting the choking valleys. The flight of a Lapwing breaks the stilled skies, His long black spiky crest contrasts the snowy space, Fawn grass’ gently sway against the scott’s pine, A smirk sneaks upon my face, Somehow calming time. This brief breath of crisp belonging Stamps only too short a stain on the mind My time refuses to slow, cannot creek and flow I have modernized my soul to hurtle through this Time. I close my eyes, open my being... Memorize. The calling of a gull, The chill of this winters breeze, Soaks deep into the soul, Departing this world in ease |
