Thoughts of an egotistical person, maybe?

Oh how I like feeling special
Knowing I’m the only one
The one and only under the sun
Mocking others because I’m great
I am the sole owner of this great state
Meager are those who think I’m wrong
They’ll always be singing that same old sad song
You envy my existence
You wish you were me if just for an instant
A spec of sand is all you are
I am the beach that encompass’ you
Your opinion means nothing
Mine is what reigns over everything
I will move up the ladder
You will feel gladder
Thinking I’ll be out of your hair
But I’ll always be in the air -
