The Death of a Star

I got inspired to write this from watching the science channel.

For all of us
a star must go out
leaving the dim light of a full moon
we start over with wood and fire
and tell tales
of Days of Great Sin
but a fire
can be warm and beautiful
and our eyes adjust to new light
the earth is still spinning
and we can move on
