"One last time, folks," the prosecutor said and pressed Play.

"It was an accident, Sheriff.  He jumped up just as I fired."

"I believe you, but... skinnin', dressin' and stewin'?"

"A man's gotta eat.  Game's been real scarce and meat's meat."

There was some general sympathy amongst the jurors, but the verdict was still Guilty.
