For years I have been haunted by you in my sleep.

I awake from my sleep and dry my tears.
Something I have done for many years.
Your love haunts me since you've gone.
You're in my dreams sleeping all alone.

Then I awake and find you aren't there.
My dreams are like ghostly night mares.
It hurts me to really know for I still care.
The fright of knowing, you were not there.

I am weary at night before I go to sleep.
I know you will appear and I will weep.
When your ghost stays out of my night.
I will sleep in peace and out of any fright.

Come in reality and out of my dreams.
So I can see if you are real as it seems.
Don't haunt me any more in my nights.
I'm getting tired of your ghostly frights.
