Another Empty House

To the many people that we know who died

Another Empty house
in the neighborhood.
Everyone is gone,
Death takes us one by one.
We go in the earth
as time progresses.

Another empty house,
another death in the neighborhood.
Now, the daughters won't return
to their childhood house.
Neighboring children
run away,
neighbors miss
the dead owner.

Another empty house
left to decay,
decade after decade,
people we know die
until it is our turn.

Another empty house
the full moon is shinning,
there is a shooting star
and a wish comes true
thanks to the soul.

Another empty house
in the neighborhood;
A last decade
and the youth is replaced
as we get older and older.
