Life's decision to backtrack

Here I go,
I can feel myself slowly drifting back into this foregone reality.
I'm trying to catch myself before I fall deeper and deeper.
Flowing waters my long lost friend,
This phase seems to never end.
Let it stop. Let it go away.
Let my scars stay that way.
