Ablaze

A poem about burning down the negatives. A sort of emotional catharsis.

Set a fire and burn down
Everything this house stood for,
Every tear and frown,
Every slam of every door,

Every scream of frustration,
As tempers raise.
All the feelings of desperation
Just set them ablaze.

I don't want the shame
That I've been forced to bear.
I know who to blame,
He just doesn't care.

I want to watch this abode burn.
This house has nothing left within.
It is not the home for which I yearn,
So let the flames begin.
