A poem that I wrote when people kept telling me that I couldn't handle the truth

Lie to my face
Manipulate my mind
Keep buried deep inside
The secrets that you hide
Tell me it is when it never was
You say that you're protecting me out of love
I look at your face and see no truths
All the times I believed in you
I used to swear by you
Insisting that everything you said was true
I know now that it was all lies
You keep the truth buried deep inside
You know no truths
You've always been blind
Stop messing with my mind!!
You say the truth's too hard to bare
I told you that I don't care!
You say the truth changes people
I'm sorry I must disagree
I live in your world so
