Bigger Picture
There are a lot of things I don’t understand
But then again, life’s not planned
So I guess I should just go with the flow
Learn to let the little stuff go
But what about the stuff that’s not so small?
What about the stuff that risks it all?
These are the questions no one asks
Because I don’t think anyone wants the task
Of answering a question that scary
Especially when opinions may vary

If you ask me
I don’t think people want to imagine such things
Because somewhere deep down inside of them, it brings
Out the person they didn’t know they were
It mixes them up and makes them stir
Because for some forsaken reason
People have a fright
Of letting their minds take off in flight
A task that shouldn’t require such might
But sadly, it does

So maybe there will be a day
Where I’ll no longer have to pray
For everyone to just let themselves be
And our minds will finally be free
