A promise it was
Meant to be broken?
Shattered as it was
Left my heart broken.

Was there no other way
You could try
Or tried to say
Left me to cry!

Why did you promise,
When you couldn’t deliver?
Saved me the painful bliss
When I had to surrender!

Two words
I won’t
Two words later
I don’t

You went back
On your word
I lost track
No more needed to be heard

Was it so hard,
To keep it?
My heart is in shards
Do you wish to see it?

No more sorrow
No more tears
No more promised tomorrows
No more worthless fears.

A mere sentence
Meaningless for you
For me it is, a death sentence
It meant my life for me!
