Waving through
the sunshine and the rain,
of another day.
Blood,sweat and tears,
water
the freedom
of life.
Sacrifice of self,
to mend lives
shattered by
the ruins of war
Oh tattered flag,
I love you so,
Please forgive us,
for being so
unaware,
strip our hearts
bare,
so that all we see
is the beauty,
of our country.
