Safe Now

I was inspired to write this poem about my future husband while writing my vows.

Shrouded in shadows once was I,

Fear anger and pain drove me through life,

But out of the darkness I saw a light and passed that light I saw a beginning a new sight,
through his eyes blue and kind, so full of trust I thought I had died,

But no I'm living for the first time.
