Looking back, promises stared me in the face
Rushing forward to finish my own race
Never knowing when, where and how to phase
Not too long, it'll all be a waste.

Appreciation is always the key
For all of the gifts given by Thee
Knowing one's self will always be
An essential to where you want to be.

Once, all these promises were for me
Admitted to the best university in the country
Never knowing what I want to be
Threw it all away as easy as ABC.

Now, regret is all that I have
Took for granted everything I had
Starting over, not exactly what I wanted
