Lord Promise me an easier tomorrow…
Because today was so hard,
Lord Promise me a brighter morning…
Because tonight was so dark,
Lord Promise me a warm embrace…
Because all I have now is a cold empty bed,
Lord Promise me a calmer heart,
Because all I feel is frustration in my head…
Lord Promise me a soothing voice,
Because all I hear is silence right now…
Lord Promise me a smoother path,
Because the rocks on this one threaten to take me down…
Lord Promise me my life has meaning,
Because I struggle to see the light,
Lord Promise me that there's rewards for being a good man,
Because it’s sometimes hard to do what’s right…
Lord Promise me that it sometimes necessary,
Because I feel I have suffered so…
Lord Promise me that you’re with me,
Because sometimes I feel you’ve let me go…
Lord Promise me I have your forgiveness,
Because I feel that all I do is wrong,
Lord Promise that you Love me…
Because I need it to keep me strong.
