A Distant Land

One day I shall travel to a distant land,
A land of peace and joy where pain and sorrow cannot reach,
One day I shall travel there…

I shall travel to a distant land of beauty beyond your wildest dreams,
A land where you shall want for nothing yet have nothing,
One day I shall travel there…

But I shall travel alone,
For at the border of this distant land I will be stripped of all I once held dear,
My friends and family and all that I once loved…gone,

To be unable to touch the ones I love,
To be unable to hear them laugh or be by them when the cry…
I shall be alone a babe in the world of men,

But I shall not fear.

One day I shall travel to a distant land,
A land where anything is possible,
One day I shall travel there and I will not fear for I am not alone.
