This is a difficult poem for me to read, I hope you enjoy. |
| I Will See Another Day I fall to the ground, my body has been found; As he stands above me with a gun, I know my life is done. I take my final breath of air, then I look at him with a stare; I will die for a good cause, I will not show my weakness or flaws. As his finger becomes closer to the trigger, my eyes become bigger; I relax my mind, I close my eyes so I can be blind. I begin to think of my mother, she was like no other; I begin to think of my sister, I will miss her. I accept my fate, I will be going home in a wood crate; I lived many wonderful years, with no regrets or fears. Then everything comes to a stop, I hear a body drop; I open my eyes, I feel my body begin to rise. I’m being carried, not being buried; Fear goes away, I will live to see another day.
