Fingers frozen to his cheeks
The color of fire on his back

A person who suffers
He suffers
From clogged pipes
Surgery after surgery
Still he gets up
To support the ones he loves

A person who copes

With sharp pains
Every minute of the day
Shingles shape his shoulder
