Halloween Horror

An acrostic poem about Halloween.

Halloween is always
An amusing adventure as
Lively little children come and visit me
Looking so very unearthly.
Outside they roam
With souls brimming of energy and
Enthusiasm. Dressed as a witch and settled upon my
Entry way, the little creatures beg for candy and I happily
Nourish their open bags with goodies they will enjoy.

Heroes, monsters, rock stars and
Outlaws, they all
Reveal their special character.
Relishing in their pretend
Oddities and silly scary voices, too soon they
Return back home and transpose into themselves again.
