Revision of my other poem |
| Death, Oh Death Death, Oh Death why you must come here During this times of joy and cheer You see us happy as we can be And so now stay to ruin our glee You take from us the greatest joy The light of life you work, to destroy You encroach into life Falling like a fated knife You come in home's, in the dark night And you take away life’s bright light Death, Oh Death all you have done Is make a father miss his lost son Death we may think you a terrible curse You give us that ride, in your great dark hearse Death, Oh Death you do these great things And bring down the mightiest of kings But when your inevitable bells ring We start to notice the tiny things Death, Oh Death, I thank you for what you do And one day, you will help me bid my life adieu |
