Suicide

My feelings on death in general but suicide specifically. I'm not suicidal by the way :)

If you could choose, how would you go?
into the void, where you no longer know
Pain, Fear, Suffering or Doubt
the things those without lives live without.

Would you chose fire, the glory of flame
to absolve yourself from Hate, Anger and Blame
the flash, the fire, the never ending burn
charred to ash, then you'll never return.

Or would you want ice? to slowly freeze
the cold, white hand your life will seize
to escape the debt yet to be paid
lose reason and feeling and slowly fade.

Or would you jump from a great height
trade your soul for man's last flight
the rush of wind, the caress of air
and a short, sharp end to Despair.

Peace, Quiet, Rest - death can give
But why would you die when you can live?
