So much time has passed.
Can I feel the way I once did?
Protecting my sanity I tried to move on,
And once again, as I’m almost there,
A bombshell hits.
Your bombshell.
It’s so beautiful, so promising,
Yet words, only words.
Even in their rawest form
They cannot melt the ice
Protecting my heart.
Can you just decide for good?
Either take the whole thing,
Or give back the pieces I gave you.
