A Cruel Game of Tag

Being hurt and abused in a world where it seems no one even cares or notices.

My temple slammed against the brick wall
Scratching my eyes as I begin to bawl
Suffocating as I drown in my own fear
Your evil grin and breath of beer
Around we go, a cruel game of tag
Your fist meets my skin
And I start to lag
All four limbs struck and useless
How could my neighbors be so clueless
You create a noose, tightening the knot
A raging carnival, give it your best shot
Choke her to death and we'll give you a prize
Forget the drunk, it's her we despise
Knuckles of blood screaming in pain
Your eyes are a blank, clinically insane
Round one is done and you say, "I'm it!"
I cower in fear trying not to get hit
I'm your small prey, bloody with tears
Again you win and raise your cup of cheer
