Double Trouble

You can't live without pets. They add so much to your life.

Have two dogs named Toots, Socks
They're masters of our home
As they seemingly think
Claiming rooms as they roam.

Socks loves chasing his tail
Several times around
Toots likes to discover
Soon to be trouble found.

Begin their morning dash
Through each, every room
Socks knocks over a vase
I rush from the bedroom.

Socks decides on a nap
On my favorite chair
Leaving several strands
Of silky fuzzy hair.

Toots gets bored and restless
With nothing else to do
Goes into my closet
Finding new shoes to chew.

And anytime day or night
They're always at our feet
Whining incessantly
For something good to eat.

So these little rascals
Can drive us up a wall
But all is forgiven
Bring love to one and all.

Couldn't do without them
There's a need they fulfill
Sense of peace that only
A pet's love can instill.
