To short, sad poems I wrote for school |
| Teardrops of a Broken Heart A glistening drop, Rolling down pale skin, Comes to a stop, Lingering on her chin. It leaves a wet line, On her smooth face And drips into her hair Soft like lace. Silently she cries, Wishing for him. Inside she dies, An ache in every limb. Though her heart keeps beating, It’s broken inside. She hates him for cheating, But loves his other side. Tears Drop Tears Drop Into cracked lips Salt in the wound It just won’t stop A world of pain With no escape Unknown consequences Her heart is stained Mistakes made And written in the sand Waves washed the words away But gave the pain no aid Secrets spilled She wants it to end Long, painful days With sorrow, her heart is filled |
