A poem about a woman...is this not how all poems began?....... |
Love of Completion I woke one day to find a piece of my heart was missing, Taken by a spoken word of a girl with eyes-tears a glistening She said to me, I have been waiting, trying, making Every attempt that I can to keep my heart from breaking, Every mistake, all the pain I’ve taken All for a man, whom his soul he has forsaken, Why my love is my hand still shaking? Why do I feel something warm and beating, Pulsing like the air on a warm summer’s evening In my hand? Look my love that thing I mentioned It has veins and these things that look like a weird extension, Wait, look, it shakes, it quakes…look my dear, it destroys, it creates. Its your heart my love and its filled with hates For everything you couldn’t completely animate So let me repair it and then we can say That I make you complete each and every day. |
