Taking a break at 9,000 ft., N.W. Colorado.

I write about things I know, and places I've been (not enough imagination for anything else, I suppose).

This snapshot was taken on a hunt with returning wounded warriors, back in '08. I had been scouting for two days for good spots for them to get on elk in a hurry.

...that high meadow, and some of the wonders of that two weeks will make it into a book shortly.
