Her Delicate Beauty

A poem about the most wonderful person I've ever encountered - my girlfriend whom I love.

A style so perfect, with joyous charm
So elegant, detailed, and beautifully refined;
Her purposeful pace and sense of duty define her tasks,
Completing them in obligatory and over-powering,
Yet delicate fashion,
A level of performance so sublime and responsive
To life’s ups and downs.

Yet, she must often bridge the chasm
Between certain realities and truths,
For which I can offer no alternative path,
Other than my caring, poised, and compassionate love
For her infinite, soulful being…

But her immense beauty implies character, grace,
And an unabashed willfulness
For which my heart recites an upbeat and glorious message
Of love and deepest respect.

I shall always be grateful to her
For the love of a lifetime
Which she has bestowed upon my eager,
Long-awaiting soul…

For God is the ultimate truth,
And all gifts shall come from Him
Which we will enjoy
Both here and in Heaven!
