Wild

I wrote this to raise awareness of the ongoing massacre of wolves which are endangered

Hidden amid the vast snowy plains
Quivering in your underground dens
Within the sea of green, blowing in the breeze.
I know you're waiting, I knew you're shaking.
Charcole nose capturing violent, foreign scents;
Gunpowder, smoke, burning and blood.
Protecting pups, precious, praying invaders
Won't prey on the family. I know you're scared.
Blood thirsty hostility, hairless creatures act
Inhumane slaying mother, father, sister, brother...
Every member for game and for fur, a living trophy.
I know you're ready, adrenaline pumping.
Gagging and suffocating, family dying.
Must escape, must reach the air...
Silence.
