My Cat

This is my first attempt at a free verse poem HELP!!!

My Cat

All the twinkling stars of the night
Are contained within MY cats big eyes
Everyday she looks up at me
And thats when I fall into those big eyes
like oceans deep

MY cat has a twitching tail
It looks as if she's flicking flies
when she swipes it from side to side
She stalks like a regal cat
Her claws clicking, MY cat
Fur sleek and black as the night that she lives in...

Everynight she escapes
To a wild place,a wild land
And everynight I wonder
Just where MY cat goes
To what, wild place?
To what, wild land?
And shall I ever know?
But one day I will follow her,MY cat
to her secret place
And she can show everything that I have missed
In nights before
And on that day I will know
All the things I have wondered
but for now she is MY cat, and MY cat alone!
