april showers bring may flowers
what do mayflowers bring
not pilgrims like originally thought
but happiness
in a wild flower
in that dot of color in the midst of conformity
that is different
and is not ashamed
to make others smile
at its outrageous ways
that is and therefore inspires
that has the courage to so something
that isn't normal
and this time
society embraces the change
uses it
writes love songs for it
and in return that little dot of color
the unique bit of sun in the rain
makes us smile
