A Rondelet poem (week 26) about an unexpectedly great day. |
| A Rondelet poem written for Week 26 of Poetic Explorations. A perfect day. I planned for naught, yet all went right. A perfect day. I asked my wife to come away. We walked and laughed, our hearts made light. From waking up till late at night A perfect day. Author's Notes: The Rondelet is a French form consisting of seven lines with two rhymes and one refrain: AbAabbA. The capital letters are the refrains, or repeats. The refrain is written in four syllables; the remaining lines contain eight syllables. |
