| Fireworks A Shakespearean Sonnet- By Kleo A flower blooms against a black lagoon, A fire gilded lily in the stars. She shows her face in brilliance to the moon, To Mercury, to Venus and to Mars And soon is joined by many other blooms Whose petals scintillate in every hue. They grace the eye with flaming rainbow plumes Of pink and gold and lovely shades of blue. And now a garden blossoms in the sky In lambent beauty, delicate and bright. It mesmerizes every human eye, Enchanting and resplendent in the night. But where we once were charmed by fulgent shades We languish now as fire flower fades.
