place of peace

this is for the E.T.G poetry contest june 2011. 19 line poem. 2 place

trees standing so tall
that only soft light
  touches the ground
    shows the way

the smell of  flowers
  fill the air

  as a shallow river
  flows softly by
 
  a home for some
a special place for most
 
  friends all sitting
and reading what they love
    sharing the good
        and bad

steps go down to the river
  from the gazebo above

birds and butterflies all about
   
    a peaceful place
      is here to be found
