As Mother's Day nears, I'm missing my Mother and remembering that last week of her life.

Remembering that cold winter week, in Tennessee
A hospital room was not where we wanted to be.

We were all gathered there to say our goodbyes
We watched our mom suffer with tears in our eyes

Mom, we wanted so badly to make you stay
But each passing day found you fading away.

Mom, ever since they laid you to rest
We have all been so very depressed
