| We had to write a short story of exactly 150 words with a twist. Here's my take. Hope you like My hands, sweaty- I’m stressed, I’m nervous. But I’m being paid for this. I need the money. I don’t usually wear make up, but HE’d insisted I did. The red lipstick matches my nails, its sticky. My dark hair is piled up on my head. I look great, but it’s not me. I stand and brush dust from my blue satin dress. Skin touches steel. The knife. I don’t want to do this. But HE’s paying me a lot. The clock on the wall tells me its time to act. I enter the room. The eyes follow me. I hate the eyes. “What’s she doing here?” they think. Ten minutes pass and I have my victim escort me to my carriage. The Knife. People watching gasp and then my victim falls, dead, to the ground. A silence follows. Then the audience claps. I bow and the eyes no longer watch. |
