You Are There

I wrote this poem when I was 17 for my first love.

                                                                                  Eyes so blue

                                                                          The sea cries out in envy

                                                                                A smile so warm

                                                                          The sun has no use to me

                                                                            A voice so mesmerizing

                                                                              It puts me in a trance

                                                                                A wonder of nature

                                                                            I have the pleasure to see



                                                                          Constantly, you're on my mind

                                                                              Can't fight it, can't deny it

                                                                      Your warmth shines right through me

                                                                    Your courage and strength inspires me

                                                                When times are rough, when times are tough

                                                                  All I have to do, is fill my thoughts with you

                                                                      Anywhere, Everywhere, You are there
