A poem I wrote while in Iraq. The message is obviously one of sexual frustration. |
| MAI LAI Wonderful, bloodied, The carnage of the rape, was… Metal grinding with the pain and bullets built inside. A feeling stuffed away. The thought meant to hide. A secret that hurt to stay. The face of the beloved… Hot joy between the legs. Dessert dunes blow by the ancient land. A soldier takes the invisible strangers hand. Far past the lengths of the norm, Into the shining eye of the storm. Apocalypse. Severed are the roots of purity, Sowed are the seeds of filth. Wet dreams of disease. And an ecstasy of hurt. The carnage of the rape was after all… wonderful. The convoy rolled away. |
