The poem

The teacher said, write me a poem write it about anything, but don't make it boring.

The teacher said, write me a poem,

Write about anything, but don’t make it boring



So here I sit with paper and pen

Scratching my head and saying, where do I begin



I look around and what do I see, people, dogs and cats, or maybe a tree

I know, I’ll write it about me



I say it to myself where do I start

Do I make it funny, or straight from the heart?



Should I write about my friends and I?

The journeys we take, and what we will see?



Or maybe about my sister and what she means to me,

Growing up together and what best friends we will be



My mind wont think and my pen wont write
