When you have butterflies in your stomach

Crash Landing

There are butterflies in my stomach
with mangled wings
and missing antennas,
with dizzy expressions
and bruised forheads
from collisions that have
yet to heal.

There are butterflies in my stomach
with black and blues,
but thats nothing
compared to the
thoughts running around
in my head.
