The mighty mother gaia aids us all so why did we betray her

Gaia

The eternal mother that governs us all.
She screams out to us but we can't hear her call.
We think, we live, we destroy, we defile, due to pathetic gall.

We fight amongst our selves and leave her scared.
We hurt and taint all we forgot to guard.
We forgot we live, we exist, in her all mighty yard.

We drink and drink from her blessed well.
She becomes more and more empty so she begins to yell.
Why, why I ask must we put her through such hell.
