Poem written for the Virtues of Poetry contest for February which is on love. |
| What Kind of Love What kind of love will you choose? Will it be attraction only skin deep, full of wonderful euphoria, an ultimate high. Only to find too soon, it will be a trash heap. Maybe it will take a little more effort? Not too much sacrifice, but keeping it new. It will last a little longer, without a commitment, which will eventually grow old, it will fall through. The last kind is the best choice. It takes complete commitment, 100 percent. It will persevere without exception, all the way, but in the end the love will run deep, effort well spent. Lines: 12 |
